Whether you’re a weekend rider or you ride your Aprilia to work each day, you’ll have to purchase at least a minimum amount of liability insurance for your sporty Italian made motorcycle, if you live in the United States.
For example, if you live in Ohio following are the liability minimums:
Bodily Injury Liability Coverage
Property Damage Liability Coverage
Liability limits can be increased for an additional premium.
Optional Insurance Coverage for your Aprilia
You can not only increase the minimum liability limits for your motorcycle insurance policy, you can purchase some or all of the several optional coverages most insurance companies offer.
If you get stuck in the mud, or if you run out of gas, or if you have a mechanical breakdown, roadside assistance coverage will reimburse your expenses.
Custom parts coverage will pay out if any of those expensive add ons get damaged.
If your bike gets stolen and you have comprehensive coverage, your Aprilia will be replaced.
Collision coverage will pay for damages caused to your bike caused if you hit another vehicle or an object (a tree or a house).
Discuss all these coverages with your agent and make sure you shop around. There can be significant differences in premium among insurance carriers.
