Okay, six years old might be a little young to be riding a motorcycle, even by our rather liberal standards, but what if that little shaver was riding a toy motorcycle – and crashed into a parked SUV?

That’s a touch over the top, and maybe it is sometimes too early to start learning to ride.

Authorities in the Mexican border town of Ciudad Juarez are keeping an eye out for miniature ruffians in training and to that end, ticketed a 6-year-old boy for reckless driving, driving without a license and not having his toy motorcycle registered.

Karla Noriega, the tiny hellion’s mother, said police took the additional step of impounded the baby-sized motorcycle that her son received as a Christmas after he “went over the high side” and ran into an SUV at a park a couple of days after Christmas.

Noriega took her case to the media when she learned that authorities were planning to charge her what she said was a “ridiculous” $183 in fines to get the tiny motorcycle back for her son.

Did that work?

You bet it did. It seems the pen is mightier than the sword and the Powers That Be dropped the fines and released the motorcycle to her son, Gael, after local newspapers published her story and applied some pressure.

A somewhat whimsical survey by Swinton, the leading motorcycle insurance brokerage in the UK, indicated that if Santa ran into problems with his eight tiny reindeer and mounted up on a motorcycle, he’d saddle up on a classic Harley Davidson.

Or to be more precise, a Holly Davidson.

Slightly more than 60 per cent of those surveyed said St Nick, old school guy he is, would opt for a Harley Davidson Fat Boy.

Santa’s second choice? Old school once again, but hailing from the far east: a Honda CB500.

The majority of respondents said The Man would be best served by a classic, vintage style motorcycle and just wouldn’t look right on the back of a superbike. I’m not so sure Santa wouldn’t dig a brand new Ducati Panigale. He’s got a lot of miles to cover and only one night to make his ride, but the survey disagrees with my assessment on that score.

About one third of those responding to the survey thought Santa should consider an environmentally-friendly machine like the ENV (Emission Neutral Vehicle) bike. The hydrogen-powered ENV does have the advantage of doing little damage to the ozone layer.

About one in ten survey respondents went for the practical, and they said Santa’s needs would force him to strap on a side car for passengers and a trailer to carry Christmas gifts, and that’s not such a bad idea. The idea of Santa on a trike or a Ural with a sidecar does make me cringe a little, but The Man would probably work with it…

The top bikes Santa should ride, in order, are:

Harley ’Holly’ Davidson Fat Boy

Honda CB500

Yamaha TMax

BMW R1200R Roadster

Suzuki GSX1300R Hayabusa

Honda GL1800 Goldwing - luggage capacity

BMW R1200GS adventure - So he can get to the children that live down the beaten track

“It’s funny to think of Santa on a motorbike, but clearly it’s something that our customers have thought about,” said Anthony Aronin of Swinton. “We’d hope that Santa made sure his tires were fit for the snowy conditions associated with the festive period and that he had the correct motorcycle insurance, particularly if he plans on taking a side car with him on his travels.”

Bashō, the most famous poet of the Edo period in Japan, was recognized for his understanding and execution of the haikai no renga form of haiku poetry. An artisan famous for brief and striking haiku, Bashō could really “diddle them words.”

It is generally accepted that the great one wrote this gem as his last offering to the world:

falling sick on a journey

my dream goes wandering

over a field of dried grass

If you’ve ever wanted to provide a moving poem to the masses on your favorite subject – the motorcycle – now’s your chance to have your work immortalized in the simplest and best poetic form ever invented; haiku. The standard haiku form consists of three lines – the first has 5 syllables, the second 7 syllables and the third 5 syllables again.

For your mastery of language and invention, you can win yourself a load of motorcycle books which includes 101 Road Tales by Clement Salvadori, Stayin’ Safe by Larry Grodsky, Everything You Need to Know About Street Bikes by Bill Stermer and yet another 10 titles in all.

Our pals at Rider Magazine, the hosts for this most esteemed competition, say the whole package is worth a staggering $235.

Unafraid to do battle on the fields of language and art, I present this humble offering which I will refrain from entering in the contest in the interest of fairness to those less accomplished in the delicate art of haiku:

I ride this machine

Which spouts tongues of fire and soul

Along the high plain

- Basho Halterman, 2011

The contest runs through midnight U.S. Pacific time, Friday, December 16, 2011.

Post your haiku in the comments section here, or on the Rider Magazine Facebook page at www.facebook.com/RiderMagazine.

No profanity or insults and Rider Magazine urges you not to damage your karma with such horrors. And you won’t win the contest if you go there, so stay in bounds…

If you’re like me, you’re just happy at Christmas when the whole family gets together and spends some quality time, dines on some delicious food and you watch as the kids tear into Santa’s bounty.

If, on the other hand, you have a team of two people willing to devote six hours, a roll and a half of wrapping paper and a red Ducati Multistrada, well then, you got yourself a Christmas, brother.

Pro Italia, a Glendale, California motorcycle dealershhip, gift-wrapped a brand new Ducati and then sent it home to its new owner.

Tammy Hilton and Karen Rickman of Pro Italia served as the Elves in this Christmas wrap-a-thon.

“Tammy actually found a photo of a bike online that someone had wrapped, so we decided to do it,” Rickman said. “We were trying to come up with something for the window that had a big impact and didn’t cost a whole lot of money.”

I think Santa would be proud.

The wrapping paper, bows and masking tape only added up to $10, and as a marketing ploy, the wrapping pulled in a whole bunch of positive comments on Pro Italia’s Facebook page.

The dealership also posted a video which featured the exceedingly lucky new owner unwrapping the bike.

You can check out the video by going to www.facebook.com/proitalia.

Rick Nelson sold the bike and said it was a stroke of pure luck that the gift-wrapped bike sold so quickly.

“The new owner saw our ad for it in Cycle Trader, and he had just called,” Nelson said. “I sent him a picture of the wrapped bike, and he said he wanted to buy it.”

Rickman said it’s unlikely they’ll take the time to wrap up another bike, but you never know…

“The whole plan was, we were going to wrap the bike and put it on our Facebook page and write something really funny like ‘We offer gift-wrapping,” Rickman said. “And we had planned on doing two, but it took a bit too long.”

Though I’d be the last one to look at gift bike in the mouth, I’d probably plotz in full if my wife would buy me one of these…

Anyone who rides a motorcycle, or for that matter, any motorized vehicle on public streets, needs insurance.

It’s required by law almost everywhere, but beyond the purely legal reasons to carry insurance, you’ll need to be covered financially if something happens while you’re out on the road.

You’ll just get the minimum mandated by law if you call insurance companies and select the one with the best price.. You should consider your options before deciding if that’s what you want.

These are the main types of motorcycle insurance coverage to look for while you’re doing your shopping online or on the phone:

So What Kinds of Coverage Do You Need?

Liability Coverage – purchase the maximum limit of 100/300.

Medical Coverage – Buy as much Medical Expense Benefits Coverage as you are able to. Motorcycle accidents typically result in more than $34,000 in medical costs.

Uninsured Motorist and Underinsured Motorist Coverage – If the “other guy” makes this mistake, you pay the price, so carry at least 100/300.

Bodily Injury Liability Coverage – Purchase the maximum of 100/300 to make sure you’re prepared.

Medical Expense Benefits Coverage - Failing to carry sufficient medical expense benefits means you risk running out of coverage. See a hospital bill lately? Don’t go cheap here…

Liability insurance

If you cause damage to someone else’s person or property, you are liable. This means that they could sue you for the cost of repair or replacement of their property or for medical bills. If you don’t have the funds on hand, you could end up paying out of your future earnings. Liability insurance is the part that you are required to have by law. Each state sets its own minimum liability coverage amounts. California requires $15,000 for death or injury of any one person, $30,000 for all injuries in a single accident, and $5,000 property damage. That’s only adequate to cover a small accident. It would hardly begin to cover the costs of a major accident with injuries.

How much liability insurance should you get? The answer probably depends on your own financial situation. How suable are you? You are more likely to be sued if you have money, even if it’s in the form of assets like real estate. Future income can be a target too, so if you’re on your way to a promising career, someone might sue you if your insurance doesn’t cover the damages.

Coverage For You -Medical Coverage

The thing that makes motorcycles scary is not damage to property, or even to other motorists, who are likely in cars. It’s injury to those riding the motor bike. The only thing between you and the road is a helmet and clothing – no driver’s cage or air bags. A car accident that would be considered minor for cars can be deadly if there’s a motor bike involved. If you are injured in a crash, how much would your insurance pay? Would it be enough to cover all of your medical expenses as well as living expenses until you could get back to work?

You also need to think about whether others riding your motorcycle would be covered. Does your policy cover your passenger? What if you loan out your bike and someone else is riding it? You also might want to check your regular health insurance. If you’re covered under that, it might make a difference in whether you choose to address the issue in your motor bike insurance policy.

Coverage for Your Motorcycle

motorcycle insurance can cover repair or replacement of your motor bike if necessary. You need to look at traffic accidents and damage from other sources as well. Many motorcycle insurance policies only cover damage from traffic accidents. If you are at fault, or if the other party is uninsured, your liability insurance won’t cover damage to your property unless you have comprehensive and collision. Your bike could also sustain damage from something other than a traffic accident, like a flood, fire or vandalism. Find out under what conditions your motorcycle would be covered.

The holder of any loans against your motorcycle will probably require you to carry full coverage – to protect their investment. If your bike is paid off, you may consider dropping coverage on it, especially if you could afford to replace it in the event of a catastrophe.

When you’re shopping for motorcycle insurance, you should definitely get a few quotes. Be sure to decide ahead of time which risks you want to insure against, and compare prices of policies that offer similar coverage.

No one seems to know why the tasty Thanksgiving treats are targeting motorcyclists, but it’s a good bet retribution is in the offing.

“They’ll circle me and they’ll get closer and closer on each revolution, and then they’ll start hitting me with their wings and jumping up in the air and try to bat me with their wings,” said Dan Brown.

Most riders in Walnut Creek say they’re forced to go out of their way to avoid tangling with the Biker Birds.

European motorcycle and product manufacturers in particular showcase their latest two-wheeled designs at the Milan Show, and a lot of what you see is inspiring, forward-looking and just plain beautiful.

At other times, however, what you can see on display is, well, a bit of a stretch and a challenge to the plausible.

I’m all for people attempting to come up with great ideas to make motorcycling safer and more comfortable, but once in awhile an idea comes along which should have ended at the cocktail napkin stage in development.

Here’s a case in point – the motorcycle helmet wiper blade attachment.

You see, Bosco just likes to ride, and he and his owner weren’t about to let the Nanny State deprive them of the pleasures of the open road.

Bosco, a New Jersey dog who insisted on taking rides on his owner’s motorcycle, found himself entangled in a court case which charged that his owner, Gyula Szatmari, was guilty of animal cruelty.

“He would be crying when I would take my bike, and then I made something for him and I put him on the front of the bike,” Szatmari said.

Szatmari was pulled over by the police this past summer and charged by authorities with a count of animal cruelty for bringing Bosco for a ride.

“I told them I’ve been driving through your town for six and a half years,” Szatmari said. “You’re pulling me over now?”

Szatmari said Bosco regularly rides with him in his tractor trailer, and added that Bosco took to the bike right away and refused to be denied whenever he got a chance to ride on the motorcycle.

“I came to a red light the first time I rode him and a guy goes, ‘How long did it take you to teach him to do that on a bike?’ I told him this is the first day,” Szatmari said.

Authorities weren’t amused, as authorities tend to be when confronted with any deviation from the norm, and took Szatmari to court.

“It was hectic but it really bugged me out I had to get a lawyer I’m glad it’s over,” Szatmari said after the matter was settled. “I never had a problem nowhere else. You know, my friend was telling me they’re making a commercial Harley Davidson’s commercial with a dog on the front of the bike.”

Authorities dropped the animal cruelty charge against Szatmari this week. To resolve the issue, Szatmari pleaded guilty to an unsafe driving charge. The 56-year-old paid $449 in fines and court costs in Municipal Court.

The whole issue began when Szatmari was headed home from his job in August when he was pulled over in the rain in Marlboro. He was issued citations for careless driving and the improper transportation of an animal.

Szatmari said he’s never been questioned about riding with Bosco in any other county in the state, or for that matter, any other state where he and his pal have ridden their bike.

A boisterous bike conveys badness like nothing else, which is why the following films are so memorable.

Throughout film history, motorcycles have taken a backseat to cars when it comes to playing the role of the motored protagonist. Like so many of their riders — when depicted in film and in real life — they’ve been cast aside from society because of their propensity for rebelliousness. A boisterous bike conveys badness like nothing else, which is why the following films are so memorable. While you may disagree with the order of the ranking, or even the quality of the films, you can’t disagree with the awesomeness of the motorcycles.

Easy Rider (1969), Harley-Davidson Hydra-Glide

The freedom of biking is exemplified by Wyatt (Peter Fonda) and Billy (Dennis Hopper), two non-conformists who embark on a journey across America, meeting an interesting cast of characters — good and bad — along the way. Ironically, their No. 1 sidekicks were former police bikes that were purchased at an auction for $500 and refurbished for on-screen use. Unfortunately, none of the four, as they were shown in the film, exist today. The Captain America, of course, was destroyed in the final scene, and the other three were stolen and scrapped.

The Wild One (1953), Triumph Thunderbird 6T

Protective of their reputation as a company, Triumph objected to the use of its bike in Marlon Brando’s film because of the depiction of motorcycle gangs — it was even banned in England as a result. Johnny (Brando), the gang’s leather jacket-wearing leader, oversees an invasion of a motorcycle racing event and eventually a small town, where, naturally, they wreak havoc. One year later in real life, the Hells Angels were founded, advancing the negative perception of bikers by mimicking the styles and behaviors demonstrated in The Wild One.

Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991), Harley-Davidson Fat Boy

A decade after attempting to eliminate Sarah Conner, The Terminator (Arnold Schwarzenegger) returns as a good guy aboard his Harley-Davidson Fat Boy. Most famously, he maneuvers it inside of the LA River to save John Connor (Edward Furlong) from T-1000 (Robert Patrick), who’s commandeering an enormous tow truck. The high-powered bike has also been featured in Renegade, Bulworth, and Wild Hogs.

The Great Escape (1963), Triumph TR6

Leave it to the “King of Cool” to perform scintillating stunts aboard a cool bike like the Triumph TR6. A POW in World War II, Capt. Hilts (McQueen) escapes a secure German prison camp and evades his captors with a combination of sagaciousness and speed — it should come as no surprise that McQueen did most of the riding himself. The film is set in Germany, so his ride was disguised as a German BMW R75 motorcycle, a task that was undertaken by the artist Von Dutch in his Elkins’ shop.

Mad Max (1979), Kawasaki KZ1000

In the chaos of a post-apocalyptic wasteland, only the strong survive. Mad Max Rockatansky (Mel Gibson) seeks revenge after a motorcycle gang murders his wife, son, and close friend Jim Goose, the latter of whom owns a Kawasaki KZ1000. The 4-cylinder engine, 5-speed transmission bike boasts 90 hp, making it one of the highest performing of its kind. For that reason, it was also prominently used in the televisions series ChiPs, in which officers Ponch (Erik Estrada) and Jon (Larry Wilcox) patrol California’s adventurous highways.

Knightriders (1981), Honda CBX

Leave it to Hollywood to depict motorcyclists as mentally unstable. “King” Billy (Ed Harris) heads a troupe of medieval performers who roll around on motorcycles, but becomes unraveled as he loses his grip on things — including reality. Unwilling to let go, he attempts to redeem himself and remain connected with those who left. Literally dressed as a knight, Billy drives a Honda CBX as if it were his horse. Known for its 6-cylinder engine, it produces a jolting 105 bhp, enough to fuel anyone’s speed trip.

Tron (1982), Lightcycle

After being transported into a computer world by software pirate Master Control, Kevin (Jeff Bridges) is faced with overcoming the unfortunate circumstances by finding a security program named TRON to destroy his nemesis. The one cool part about being stuck in such a place was the availability of the virtual bike called the Lightcycle, which travels at blazing speeds, enabling it to outmaneuver Recognizers and Light Tanks. Flynn is able to use them to his advantage, as he possesses detailed knowledge of the game. Sure, you can’t obtain a Lightcycle in real life, but don’t you wish you could?

My Bodyguard (1980), Honda CB175

Building a motorcycle facilitates the growth a friendship between Cliff (Chris Makepeace) and a bully Ricky (Adam Baldwin). When Melvin (Matt Dillion), the lead bully, torments Ricky and pushes his treasured bike, a Honda CB175, into a lake, Cliff and Ricky join forced to reveal Melvin’s underlying cowardice. As the movie indicates, underdogs can ride motorcycles, too.

Top Gun (1986), Kawasaki GPz900R

How could a man named Maverick not be a bike owner? A U.S. Naval Aviator, Maverick Mitchell (Tom Cruise) is a defiant risk taker who demonstrates impressive skills in the sky, earning him a coveted spot in Top Gun school. Amid the drama that accompanies his quest to graduate, he pursues Top Gun instructor Charlie Blackwood (Kelly McGillis) — sometimes on his Kawasaki GPz900R, proving that ladies do love a man on a motorcycle. Modern sports bikes have been patterned of it, as it’s capable of reaching speeds of 150 mph — the first of its kind to reach that benchmark.

Matrix Reloaded (2003), Ducati 996

If you watched the movie closely, you might’ve noticed that the tread on the tires of Trinity’s (Carrie-Anne Moss) Ducati 996 change from slick to treaded a couple of times as the shots change. Of course, that wasn’t intended to be shown as she dangerously navigates through and over traffic. The scene inspired many daredevils to purchase a Ducati because of its adrenaline-pumping top-end power and sleek design.

Occasionally, films and TV shows give us a gang that's a little bit different than the rest.

Motorcycle gangs certainly look cool (and intimidating) with their leather jackets, bandanas, and iron butts that endure long, grueling days on the road. But many of these biker groups, especially in movies, are really filled with cruel villains who kill and rape to get their way, which is decidedly uncool. Bikers are easy for Hollywood to use as bad guys since there’s no character development required, but occasionally, films and TV shows give us a gang that’s a little bit different than the rest. Here are the eight best fake motorcycle gangs.

The Sons of Anarchy on the FX show Sons of Anarchy are a tough but loveable group of ruffians. Sure, they deal arms illegally and challenge law enforcement weekly, but many of their actions are based on their strong family and community ties. The lead trio of the gang is made up of a son, mother, and stepfather who will do anything to protect each other and the group. Their small, idyllic California town is also something they aim to preserve, and they are actually seen as community heroes for running out drug dealers and corporate developers. The world could use more heroes in leather, even if they are fictional.

Satan’s Helpers

This biker gang’s feelings toward Pee-wee Herman in Pee-wee’s Big Adventure are not unlike the thoughts you probably once had about the bow-tied guy with the strange voice. At first, you can’t stand him, but he grows on you as you see more of his crazy antics. The guys in Satan’s Helpers were rightly upset that Pee-wee barged into their club, shushed them, and then knocked over their bikes domino-style. Before killing him, they do the honorable thing and grant him his last request, which is dancing on a table to the song Tequila. Of course, this wins the gang over, as it would any cool group of dudes, and they selflessly give Pee-wee a motorcycle to continue his journey.

The Victors

Hell Ride is a movie about classic motorcycle gang rivalry with lots of death and gore to spare. It is Quentin Tarantino, after all. But the Victors aren’t all about blood and guts. Sure, they’re seeking violent revenge on the group of bikers that killed some of their members and that is inching in on their turf, but they do it all with clever one-liners and good-natured ribbing (and guns). The leaders of the Victors aren’t young punks trying to prove themselves; they’ve earned their scars and are protecting their pride. There’s something to be said for older guys who can still hold their own and go out in style.

Knightriders

The Knightriders, in the movie appropriately titled Knightriders, aren’t the kind of cool that you would traditionally find in a biker gang. This gang — called a troupe — travels around the country jousting on motorcycles. Yes, jousting. The gang has a king and they ride in suits of armor, like proper knights. Though the gang has to yield to commercial interests and there is inevitably infighting, members are noble enough to peacefully crown a new king when it’s time. It’s a gang with chivalrous, Arthurian values. And most would agree that carrying a sword is way cooler than a concealed handgun.

Hell’s Satans

If Homer Simpson and Ned Flanders are in a motorcycle gang, you know it’s going to be good. Or at least funny. Homer’s version of Hell’s Satans comes about after he and Marge win a Harley Davidson in a dance competition and he invites Moe, Lenny, Carl, and Ned to join his new gang. Making them an even more unique motorcycle gang, some of the motorcycles are actually lawnmowers or motorbikes. Hell’s Satans is also the name of another awesome fake biker gang from Bakersfield that comes to reak havoc on the Simpsons, and the members have excellent nicknames like Meathook (voiced by John Goodman) and Ramrod (voiced by Henry Winkler). Either way you go, Hell’s Satans is pretty awesome.

The Black Rebels

You’d be hard pressed to find a gang of tough guys today that uses slang like “daddy-o,” “square,” and “keen,” but the Black Rebels in 1953′s The Wild One can pull it off, mainly because they’ve got Marlon Brando as their leader. When they’re not annoying cops and causing relatively harmless mayhem, the guys are dancing with girls to juke box tunes and teaching cool handshakes to old men. The Black Rebels eventually get mixed up in some trouble with another gang and are run out of town, but not before the policeman’s daughter (and all the other women in America) fall for Brando’s character Johnny.

Dreadnoks

Even though we all love G.I. Joes, you’ve got to hand it to the villainous Dreadnoks; they’re definitely creative. Most motorcycle gangs stick to intimidation and their fists to deal with those who cross them, but the Dreadnoks are constantly coming up with new weapons and ways to disguise themselves. Any group that uses holograms on their motorcycles to confuse their enemies and alligators to beat each other silly is a group worth mentioning. The Dreadnoks might be a little violent and come off as unintelligent, but their obvious nicknames and hilarious bullying methods make them worthy opponents of the Joes. Plus, their commander, Zartan, wears make-up fit for a member of Kiss.

The Lords of Flatbush

The Lords of Flatbush, from the movie of the same title, aren’t strictly a motorcycle gang, but they do prefer motorcycles as their mode of transportation. And if you’re discussing cool gangs, you can’t leave out one that includes both Henry Winkler and Sylvester Stallone. The teenage thugs wear leather jackets, steal cars, and chase girls as they learn the ins and outs of life in Brooklyn. They don’t do anything too crazy or take anyone’s lives (though they do play keep-away with a girl’s school books), but the laid-back ’50s rebels are definitely cooler than most gangs we see today.

Riding enthusiasts in Tennessee cut through the dragon’s curves each day, and with 318 sharp bends and curves and situated at an elevation of 1760 ft above sea level, this 11 mile stretch of road is no joy ride.

The hazardous curves that give this road its handle are so famous there’s even a resort named after them.

Running through forested and mountainous areas, it’s little wonder that the Dragon’s Tail is so popular with speed-freaks, sport bike aficionados and riders just out for a scenic cruise.

To do it right, you have to bring the right weapon – no knife to a gunfight stuff here – so is the right weapon a bike whose paint scheme echoes the moniker of it’s famous target?

You can be the judge of that.

An oh yeah, the Cashmere Sweater Look is tight…

The video series features four women as they start out on their journey towards becoming capable and experienced motorcyclists.

Katie, Roshani, Gabriella and Laurie were looking for a way to do the one thing we love to do – ride their machines and hit the open road.

“This series captures some amazing life transformations as these women find the liberation that can only be found on the road,” said Claudia Garber, the Director of Women’s Outreach at Harley-Davidson.” Learning to ride a motorcycle is a powerful life-changing experience, and this comes through in these videos. We hope these four women will inspire other courageous women to take the first step toward learning to ride.”

How did the company find the four women featured in the series?

All four were the winners of a a nationwide contest that H-D put on over the summer.

More than 35,000 people entered the contest by way of a descriptive essay about of the reasons they wanted to learn to ride a motorcycle. Once all the entries were received, four winners were chosen.

You can watch the first two episodes (out of a total of six planned ) and follow these women traveling to Milwaukee and taking a Harley-Davidson Rider’s Edge New Rider course.

Watch “My Time To Ride“ here…

Harley Davidson motorcycles are more than just a mode of transportation. The Harley world encompasses a set of individuals who live and breathe Harley Davidson. There are Harley fashions, Harley accessories, and plenty of people who love documenting their Harley Davidson excursions. With more and more individuals and businesses taking advantage of blogs as a means to share information and conduct business, there is a wide array of Harley Davidson blogs available online.

Planet Harley is a blog that covers basic information about Harley Davidson’s. This blog even accepts blog posts and ideas from fellow Harley riders who want to voice their opinion.

Harley Davidson riders enjoy going to bike shows and events around the country. The events show off Harley Davidson’s both modern and classic, showcase new products, and allow for riders to engage in activities with other riders from around the country. Blogs dedicated to motorcycles usually list events around the country. For fairs, shows, rallies, and charity events, the Hot Bike blog has an extensive list of Harley events taking place in different states. To visit an ongoing attraction and get information about upcoming events, the Harley Davidson Museum’s Blog has a variety of information.

With Harley events being popular among riders, there are quite a few blogs dedicated to chronicling an individual’s Harley experiences. These blogs show riders where other Harley enthusiasts travel on their bike and the experiences they have while on the road. Riders can share their own experiences and engage with fellow riders by starting up discussions in the comments sections of the blogs. The following is a list of personal weblogs that chronicle a rider’s life:

Arizona Harley Dude takes readers on his adventures as he enjoys his later years cruising around on his Harley.

Jeff Henshaw writes The Hog Blog and chronicles his time going to Harley shows. He also includes lots of pictures of his rides.

Chronicles of a Harley Davidson Rider is a personal blog that follows one man around as he attends different bike weeks and shows.

Chasin’ White Lines chronicles the life of a Harley rider as he shares his experiences on the road. He provides plenty of pictures from shows and guys working on the bikes.

Bruce Rossmeyer offers a blog that covers everything from events to sales on products.

Harley Davidson products include clothes, boots, jewelry, scarves, and bike accessories. There are both vintage and new Harley Davidson products. Biker News Online showcases an eccentric listing of Harley items such as toolboxes and garden gnomes. Harley lovers can find clothing for men, women, kids, and even pets. Leather jackets and leather accessories are a large part of the motorcycle lifestyle, and the blog Harley Davidson Leather Jackets discusses the benefits of Harley leather.

Other clothing and accessories products include gloves, boots, helmets, sunglasses, belts, bandanas, shirts, and rain gear, like the products seen at Harley Davidson Clothes and Accessories. Products blogs can give riders an idea of the best gear and new gear coming out on the market. The Harley Accessories blog gives riders reviews and opinions specifically for Harley boots. For reviews and opinions on all sorts of accessories, Harley 883 has that information.

One aspect of Harley Davidson motorcycles that enthusiasts take seriously is repair and customization.
