Slim goes his own way when it comes to building a motorcycle, and the way he goes is righteous in the extreme.
Not one to get stuck in a rut building Harley-only customs, Slim will take on whatever bike suits his current mood, and this one, a two-stroke Kawasaki Triple of all things, is simply magnifico.
Don’t get me wrong, I like a mean and clean Harley custom, but I’m truly partial to bikes stamped with the Hand of the Man on them. Stuff built with loving care and furious anger in the garage from whatever parts are cheap and at hand.
To thine own self be true, and it must follow, as the night the day, thou canst not then be false to any man. – William Shakespeare, Hamlet
The slick machine shown below, one of his older builds, was dubbed “The DIRT NAP,” allegedly for its, shall we say, peculiarities and the likelihood you’ll meet your maker during a high-speed proficiency run.
It’s also murderously cool.
Powered by a Yamaha RD350 twin two stroke, the mill rides along low and mean in a girder frame featuring a rigid fork setup of Slimsfab design.
